I’m going on a well-deserved vacation for the first time in almost 4 years. I’ll be out of the country until Dec 28th. Merry Christmas!

Nothing really to do with law school, but i just wanted to comment that as of today, I am officially completely done with Finance. And I am very happy about it.

Wrote my LSAT today. I won’t speculate on how I did (bad luck and so forth), but I will tell a story.
When I was putting in answers to the last passage of my Reading Comprehension section, I realized I made a transposition error somewhere above. To make things worse, I didn’t have time to fix it. This meant that I lost at least a large chunk of the section. Imagined how relieved I was to see another RC section as my section 5, meaning that the one I messed up was the unscored experimental section. I dodged a major bullet there.
I’ll keep the blog updated when I get the results (three weeks or so).

They say you shouldn’t study the day before the test, so I’ll heed the advice. As of right now, I am done studying for the LSAT. I just wrote my last full prep-test and score a 163. If I can pull this off on Saturday, I should be coasting.

Since I am writing the LSAT (for a second time) this weekend, I have to practice, practice, and practice some more. Recently though, I’ve had some welcome successes: for past two weeks, all my full-test scores were well above the 160 mark (the idea is that with decent marks and decent extracurriculars, one could get into an Ontario school with a 160). I did the a full, five-section practice this morning and scored at 166, 94th percentile. If I can pull this result off on Saturday, I should be able to get into more than one law school.

After the site got wiped, I gave up on maintaining a blog since I was too busy. I decided to find some time though to put it back up. There will not be daily posts, but I’ll keep the world updated on my general progress of getting into law school.
Where I stand:
Undergrad Average: 83% (3.62 GPA). Cumulative, no drops.
Undergrad Program: Business Management Specialist, Political Science Minor
Undergrad Institution: University of Toronto
LSAT Score: Mid-150’s (this was my first attempt)
LSAT: Writing this Saturday (second attempt)
Applications: Submitted to all six Ontario law schools
Extracurriculars and other stuff: relatively decent. Three jobs over 4 years, involvement with the Student Council, seats on numerous University Committees, eight years of volunteer experience, etc.
Let’s see what happens on Saturday. Take care.
